The same wedding, a third less
Taormina has the luxury infrastructure, the same calibre of supplier and better weather reliability than the lakes — at roughly a third less. Move thirty miles west of it and the budget moves again, further than any amount of negotiating would.

- Comfortable across the range. All-inclusive weddings for 100 are commonly quoted around $35,000.
- Budget
- Roughly 20–30% below Como at 20–40 guests; about a third lower at 50–80, at comparable quality.
- Catering
- €150–€280 per person; €180–€280 in Taormina.
- Best months
- April and May — May is the strongest spring choice and the best value with reliable weather. Early June still works.
- The lever
- Taormina costs 30–40% more than Syracuse, Palermo or the west of the island.
The same Italian process as the lakes: your consulate issues the nulla osta inside Italy, the Prefettura legalises it, and the comune does the rest.
It is an island, and the cheapest version of it is not the famous part. If the budget is the binding constraint, the single most effective move is not negotiating — it is choosing Syracuse or the west over Taormina, which changes the number by more than any supplier conversation will.
